But how would you feel about causing her have allergies by not introducing the "dangerous" foods? Ah, the guilt is there all the time - somehow we, parents, find ways to feel guilty about everything :)

I gave my daughter peanut butter when she was right around one. I knew that neither my husband or I or anyone in our family for that matter had been allergic. We watched her closely and she was just fine. I also gave her eggs a little early. I was thinking that a lot of our allergies are being created by not giving it to the children early on. I mean when I was little my parents had me eating anything and everything by the time I was 9 months. We did watch her closely but she doesn't have any allergies YAY! I guess I would have had some terrible guilt if it had gone the other way!
