I can not believe my eyes - my baby is suddenly sitting on his own! He maintains the balance, doesn’t use his hands for support, happily plays with the toys and doesn’t need to lean back. This is a major milestone and it takes some getting used to - for example, now I need to remind myself that now I can dress him when he’s sitting, more quickly and easily.

He also is learning to get into sitting position from crawling without my help - I can see that he bends one leg and uses the hands to push his body up.

This is an amazing thing about kids, one day they just switch from “not doing” something to “doing” and that’s it, no looking back.
